How many times have you noticed someone in a shopping mall or other public place that just seemed to stand out to you? Something about that person draws you to them and you feel the urge to speak with them. Maybe you feel like you “know” them or have the sense that they need encouragement. This doesn’t make sense to your brain since they are a total stranger to you, but your spirit is telling you otherwise!
If you have ever prayed, “Lord, let me see people the way YOU do,” then, when you have these experiences, you are getting what you prayed for!
Because we carry the heart of the Father and have the mind of Christ, it’s impossible to walk through a crowd of people without noticing what HE notices.
Prophecy, word of knowledge and the other gifts of the Holy Spirit were never meant to be confined to the walls of the church. Evangelism cannot be reduced to leaving a tract on the table in a restaurant hoping someone will read the four spiritual laws and find their way to church to get saved!
Jesus weeps for the lost, the broken and the discouraged that stumble around this world. People from all walks of life are aching to find their true identities.
From Wall Street to Wal-Mart and everywhere in between there are countless people living without true joy and real purpose. People you and I encounter every day who are looking for the real thing.
1Corinthians 14:3 says, “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.” Edification means, “To build up,” exhortation means, “To draw near,” and consolation means, “To bring comfort.”
Sharing a prophetic word with someone is more than just being nice in the name of Jesus! Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue!” Through the gift of prophecy, we have the opportunity to bring LIFE to the “dry bones” in people’s lives!
When we can see the people around us through the eyes of Jesus and uncover the treasure He has placed in their lives, WE are changed! What an honor to be used by the Lord to bring out the BEST in people. Even the simplest words of encouragement, inspired by the Holy Spirit, can bring life-changing hope to those the Lord brings our way.
The passion of this ministry is to walk in the prophetic call of Ephesians 4:7 - …”To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…” and to release eyes to see and ears to hear.
@Everyday Prophecy training is designed to teach believers how to effectively minister in the gifts of prophecy and words of knowledge through a simple and easy to understand format. People of all ages and experience levels will benefit from this training.
